Hey Everyone,
I’m Nolan Zinman, a sophomore at Deerfield High School, and I’m thrilled to be your chair for UNHCR at the second JAMUN conference. I’ve been involved in Model UN for two years, and outside of it, I enjoy playing sports and participating in public service.
In this UNHCR committee, we’ll be tackling the challenges faced by refugees worldwide. You’ll be debating nations’ responsibilities and exploring how emerging technologies can aid those in need. Expect to dive into the realities of refugee camps, international accountability, and the role of global cooperation in addressing this pressing issue. Given today’s conflicts, every country in UNHCR has a significant part in shaping impactful solutions. Through collaboration, we can develop strategies that promote meaningful change.
I look forward to seeing your innovative ideas, diplomacy, and lively debates. While delegates may have differing perspectives based on their country’s interests, I’m excited to see the discussions unfold and witness your growth. Come prepared with compelling speeches, an open mind, and a strong passion for diplomacy!
