Hello Everyone!

I am Joshua Varon, a freshman at Duke University. This year, I have the honor of being your chair for the Ad Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General (I). When I am not at Model UN, you can see me in stores around Durham, studying in the Perkins Library, or cheering on one of our University’s great sports teams (Go Blue Devils!).

I’m pleased to announce that this year, the Ad Hoc Committee of the Secretary-General will be discussing [REDACTED]! During this crucial piece of [REDACTED] history, you will need to lead [REDACTED] through a time of unprecedented tension and danger. As high-ranking members of [REDACTED], a lot will be expected of you for both days of our conference, and you will need to put forth your best in resolving [REDACTED].

On a more serious note, I am very excited to see what each of you brings to this JAMUN session! Ad Hoc committees are a fun way to practice quick thinking and collaboration under pressure.
